Premise

Elias Sayer feels rooms shift before anyone else admits something has changed. Amina Khalid sees impossible mismatches in the systems she helped build. Hazel Sen keeps Riverside working while learning which repairs merely move the cost somewhere less visible. Their separate pressures lead beneath Continuum, the civic engine that makes daily life easier, to the Lattice: an older infrastructure preserving decades of human experience in forms no institution knows how to protect.
Continuum works. It routes care, reduces friction, catches problems early, and makes most days easier for most people. And ease can become the shape of a life before anyone notices what has gone missing.
